STELLA

Stella was discovered in a garage in a place called Barretos, north west of Sao Paulo, Brazil. This Kombi was used to deliver mail across Barretos for many years for a company called Correios – the national postal service of Brazil. As Barretos is a very dry part of Brazil, Stella was in excellent condition with barely any rust. We drove this Kombi from Barretos to Sao Paulo for the first stage of the restoration, which took 3 months. Stella was then shipped from Santos to Melbourne where further restoration work was carried out including a brand new platinum vintage interior and the finishing touches. Stella’s best feature is her rag-top roof – it folds back to open up the roof, which is a great feature for photos.

HENRY

Henry was found on a farm in Rio Claro, north east of Sao Paulo, Brazil. The Kombi had been in the same family for 35 years – it housed a machine that was used to crush sugar cane to make juice, which was then sold at the markets. Restoration of Henry took 7 months, as the bus had extensive rust which meant certain parts had to be removed and replaced. After being shipped from Santos to Melbourne, Henry underwent further restoration work including a brand new basalt grey and mesh grey interior, and some finishing touches. He now looks absolutely amazing! Henry’s best feature is his rag-top roof – it folds back to open up the roof, which is a great feature for photos.
