(Coming Soon!!! Still under restoration. Taking bookings from 1st July 2016) !
Henry was found on a farm in a place called Rio Claro north east of Sao Paulo. The kombi had been in the family for 35 years. The family had put a machine in the back of the kombi that used to crush the sugar cane and they used to sell the juice at markets to make extra money.
This kombi was actually driven to Sao Paulo for the restoration. We put a new battery and fuel and it started. This restoration took 7 months as the bottom 6 inches of the bus had extensive rust and all had to be removed and replaced. We are very happy with how the bus has come up and it looks amazing now.
It was then shipped from Santos to Melbourne via Shanghai. Henry was shipped in the same container as Stella. Further restoration work was carried out in Melbourne, a brand new Basalt grey and Mesh grey interior was installed and the finishing touches to the bus were completed.
Henry’s best feature is his rag-top roof and is perfect for your special event! The rag top folds back and open’s the roof up and is a great feature for your photos.
